The group is funded by the City of Ventspils

Mission. To shape and sustain the professional music scene in the City of Ventspils.

Since its inception the choir has performed 35 programs –
5 a cappella, 3 with the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra, 1 with the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, 2 with the Ventspils Music College Symphony Orchestra, and 24 with the baroque orchestra Collegium Musicum Riga.

Amongst them 4 opera productions -

  • Henry Purcell – Dido and Aeneas (2005)

for this production conductor I. Cinkuss received the Ministry of Culture award;

  • Christoph Willibald Gluck –  Orfeo ed Euridice (2007);
  • Giacomo Carissimi – Jonas and Jephte (2010)
  • Uģis Prauliņš – Opera Ficta (2011, world premier);
